Introduction

Modulus of Elasticity (MOE): There are two MOE values namely wet and dry. Unfortunately, the MOE value obtained, around 1.10 × 10^4 to 1.30 × 10^4 kgf/cm², does not meet the criteria set by the standard.
Modulus Rupture (MOR): MOR is also tested in wet and dry conditions. The wet MoE value ranges from 94.79 to 256.25 kgf/cm², while the dry MOE value ranges from 114.50 to 211.58 kgf/cm². Both meet the applicable standards. 3 This shows that although the composite board has a variety of good properties, the aspect of resistance to mechanical loads still needs to be improved.

Conclusion

Utilization of pure palm oil and plastic stem waste as a composite board material with the addition of maleated polypropylene has good potential in overcoming the problem of solid wood substitution and environmental waste. The results showed various physical and mechanical properties that can compete with conventional material, although there are several aspects that still need to be considered, such as modulus of elasticity and the strength of the screw handle.
