Introduction

The implementation of health services is a crucial effort to achieve the highest degree of public health. In Medan Kota District, there are various health service facilities, so research needs to be carried out to understand the search behavior of community treatment in this region. This study aims to reveal the effect of sociodemographic factors, socioeconomics, and community needs on treatment of treatment in Medan City in 2013.

Methodology

This study involved 138 households as samples, by collecting data using questionnaires and statistical analysis using double logistics regression tests with levels Significance α = 5%. The data was collected from the community in Medan Kota District, and the analysis was conducted to identify the factors that influence the behavior of medical search in this region.

The results showed that sociodemographic factors (age, gender, education, knowledge, and attitudes), socioeconomic factors (work and income), and the community's needs factors significantly affect the behavior of medical search in Medan City District.
