Nephrotic syndrome (SN) is a common kidney disease found in children, characterized by proteinuria, hypoalbuminemia, edema, and hypercholesterolemia. This study employed a cross-sectional approach at Adam Malik Haji Hospital, Medan, North Sumatra, from February 1, 2017 to December 1, 2017. The inclusion criteria consisted of children with SN relapse and resistant to steroids, without severe malnutrition, and with normal liver function. The analysis revealed that 37.7% of patients experienced SN relapse, while 63.26% were patients with SN resistant to steroids. The study found a weak negative correlation between leukocytes, platelets, and blood sedimentation rates with albumin levels. Platelets also indicated a medium negative correlation with cholesterol levels.
