Introduction

Therefore, it is essential to evaluate the effectiveness of different methods in increasing the knowledge and attitude of foot care among diabetes patients. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of group counseling and media video health promotion in increasing the knowledge and attitude of foot care among diabetes patients at the Diabetes Puskesmas Clinic Frequent Medan in 2013.

Background

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease characterized by high blood sugar levels, which can lead to various complications, including foot problems. However, the results of the Independent T-Test show that there is no significant difference between the two methods in terms of improving attitudes. This shows that although both methods are effective, group counseling may provide added value in terms of participant involvement.
