Despite the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning's efforts to prepare a budget for these projects every year, around 60% to 70% of them experience delays. This study aims to identify the causes of delays that often occur in the implementation of construction projects, analyze the dominant factors that contribute to this problem, and provide advice to prevent future delays.

Research Methodology

This study uses a random sampling method for proportional strata due to a homogeneous population. Data was collected through a questionnaire that discussed seven categories of delays with a total of 35 variables. Research involved 15 construction projects and 32 respondents, consisting of project owners (15 people), contractors (12 people), and supervision consultants (5 people). The questionnaire was designed to gather information on the causes of delays, the impact of these delays on the project, and the strategies that can be implemented to prevent future delays.
