Analyze the risk of erosion and flooding in the study area
Identify the factors that contribute to coastal erosion and flooding
Develop a coastal zone management plan to mitigate the risks associated with coastal hazards

Methodology

This research uses a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methods. The study area includes three locations in three different districts in Deli Serdang and Serdang Bedagai. The data collection methods used in this research include:

The field observations show that the application of coastal border lines with a distance of 200 meters will be a big challenge. Therefore, the determination of the coastal border line is at least 100 meters, as stated in Presidential Decree No. 32 of 1990.
