Introduction

Methodology

This study was conducted over a period of eight months, from September 2014 to April 2015. The data was collected through a survey of passengers who used the Medan-Kuala Namu train service. The survey instrument consisted of a questionnaire that collected information on the demographic characteristics of the passengers, their travel habits, and their perceptions of the service quality. The data was analyzed using multiple linear regression methods and classic assumption tests, including normality tests, multicollinearity tests, and heteroscedasticity tests.

Results

Timeliness is the factor that most influences consumers in choosing railroad transport services, with a significant percentage of passengers citing this as the most important factor in their choice.
